Delivering the Future of HPC and Quantum at Jülich Supercomputing Centre

Jülich Supercomputing Centre, recently purchased a D-Wave quantum computer, becoming the first HPC center in the world to own a D-Wave Advantage™ annealing quantum computing system. At Jülich, the Advantage system will be located on-premises close to the JUPITER supercomputer, which is currently under development and set to be Europe’s first and only exascale HPC, with capabilities expected to surpass the threshold of one quintillion calculations per second. This will be the world’s first coupling of an annealing quantum computer with an exascale HPC, providing a first-of-a-kind opportunity for tackling the world's toughest computational problems.
